Essential fatty acids or Omega's 3,6 & 9 are a necessary part of our diet, since our body cannot produe them.They have a really impotant role to play in areas like renewing cell membranes, hormones and other chemical messengers that tell your body what to do. Here are some examples of what Essential Fatty Acids help with:


  • Helps control blood pressure

  • Natural blood thinners, so they can help prevent blood clots, which can lead to heart attacks and strokes.

  • Helps skin conditions such as,dandruff, eczema, splitting nails and dull brittle hair.

  • Breast milk is rich source of omega 3, necessary for baby's brain development.

  • Help aid food absorption in the intestines.

  • Helps with stiff aching joints

It has been suggested that low levels of Omega-3 fatty acid have been linked to an increase in dementia, mood changes, memory loss, and visual problems. Various studies have been done on elderly patients with Alzheimer's disease. The outcome found these patients to have lower levels of omega 3 than healthy older people.


Another study done on children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD had the) had the same lower levels outcome.

Where to find Essential fatty acids:


  • Nuts, soybean, hemp seed, chia seeds, flaxseed oil.. Fish, especially cold water fish such as salmon, herring, tuna, cod andmackerel.
